Egypt in the last two decades gave priority to the Healthcare field. Egypt's advocacy to this important field was declared at all official levels. A lot of Hospitals and Healthcare centers were built, as a result of this increased official interest. The Quality of Healthcare services, introduced to the popularity, is becoming more and more competent to the highest standards currently present. Global Co. occurred in 1995 as a result of the vision of its owner, Dr. Makram Mehany, which is; "The importance of contribution with National efforts to upgrade the Health Sector". In the following year, 1996, Global acquired another Pharmaceutical Co. called NAPI “North African Pharmaceutical Industries”, which had an industrial building, hence the name Global Napi Pharmaceuticals. GNP (GLOBAL NAPI Pharmaceuticals) challenge was to upgrade the existing concrete building to the highest standards that can persuade the topmost International Companies to manufacture their products at its site. The plant was opened in February 1998 by the honor of the Egyptian & Algerian MOH Ministers. GNP started production in February 1998 with the product Clomid currently of Sanofi-Aventis. GNP plant is built complying with GMP requirements and FDA Regulations. The best quality design and the confidence in its superior management system, resulted in many Multinational Companies starting to manufacture their products in it, among which is Merck Sharp and Dhome. GNP is growing, as the years pass, and the results today are the indicator of the success story.
